Most of DocDash’s tools (such as PDF merging, splitting, and image studio features) operate entirely on your local device via your browser. Your files are processed locally using client-side libraries, meaning we never upload, see, or store your documents on our servers for these features.
For advanced server-side tools (such as heavy PDF compression or conversion), files are transmitted securely via encrypted channels, processed temporarily in volatile memory, and immediately deleted post-processing.

We collect minimal data necessary to provide and secure our services:
- Account Data: If you create an account, we use Clerk to manage authentication. This includes your email address, user ID, and basic profile information.
- Usage & Rate Limiting Metadata: We track basic request counts via Upstash Redis to enforce tier limits and protect our API infrastructure from abuse.
- Payment & Billing Data: Subscriptions and payments are securely handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not store or process your credit card numbers on our servers.
